This is a re-read for me. I had lost my original copy and wanted to soak up a wonderful classic once again.I was not disappointed!John Steinbeck was one of the great story tellers and this will keep you as engrossed as before if you are reading it once more.If it's your first time reading this wonderful but sometimes sad story you will get an insight into an Era of American struggle when living each day was filled with uncertainty and scant supplies to do so with little or no hope for tomorrow. I highly recommend this classic novel by a top writer of the day and always.
