There weren't many reviews for this garlic press so I took a chance on ordering it. It looks great, but I was a little disappointed because on the inside of the red handle, you can tell that a few red plastic pieces have been glued together to create the final product. The silver handle is a single metal piece thought.Cleanup is actually a breeze since you can remove the metal grate and rinse it under water. You don't even need one of those plastic cleaning devices to push the garlic back out the grate holes. The downside is that you can only put about two unpeeled cloves in at a time. You can try three, but it takes considerable grip strength and it make me worry that I'll break the plastic handle.I have searched for a while before deciding to purchase this garlic press. It arrived in a nice box and was well packaged. The garlic press has a nice substantial weight and looks and feels classy and expensive. I have had it for about 4 months and it works very well and it’s easy to clean. If you’re thinking about getting this, don’t hesitate. It’s really nice. I got the raven color and I am thinking of getting another as a gift.BEWARE: FLIMSY MATERIAL CANNOT HANDLE CRUSHING GARLIC: the black plastic bit near the screw fell off when I crushed garlic...Works well but extremely difficult to clean.The garlic press was very easy to use just a little diffcult to clean .I had a cuisinart garlic press that finally bit the dust. But you didn't have to peel the garlic, it was awesome. So I thought this would be the same. It's not. You have to peel it, then it's still difficult to get through and it doesn't completely get all the garlic through the press. A lot is left to throw away. The handle is plastic, which I wasn't aware of. It's really a pain to clean. I would not order this one again. It's so cute, I was hoping to love it. It's the prettiest one I've seen. But it doesn't work well. I'm looking for a different one.I needed a new garlic press and this one seemed to have good reviews so I went with it. I probably will end up purchasing a different one as this one is SO heavy and cumbersome. It also isn’t as easy to clean as ones I have had previously. I do like that it can be put in the dishwasher though and that it’s offered in different colors.Does the job well, not to easy to clean
