Great gag gift, but overpriced. But since I've heard about it years ago, i finally took the plunge and bought one cuz I couldn't get it out of my head. Looks to be a legit sandwich press! Just gave it a 4 for the price. Cant imagine this lasting its existence in someones kitchen for very long without it going into storage...I think this is the first review I’ve ever written for a product. This has been a great grilled cheesus maker. It is hilarious and has provided with lots of laughs. Praise cheesus. ??Received this as a Christmas present. It two months later with a lot of use and we haven’t broken it.Yes, I understand this is more of a funny gift than anything…. But I’m bummed that the actual image is incredibly hard to see. I tried different breads different butters…. But the image is very distorted. It still works but I just felt underwhelmedEVERYONE NEEDS A GRILLED CHEESUS!!! When is the last time your sandwich smiled at you with the glory of the Lord?! Serve up some savior sandwiches to your friends and family! All will receive a blessing of cheesy goodness!This is one of the best purchases I have ever made in my life. My friends and family love to come over for grilled chessuses. What better way is there to share Christ with someone than on a grilled cheese sandwich? I love the packaging this came in, and I have to say it is so easy to use and makes the absolute best grilled cheese sandwiches I stumbled on this on amazon one night as I was looking for a Bob Ross toaster and boy was I glad I found this first. This is the best purchase I have ever made, I recommend this to everyone.There is a selection of sandwich makers out there at less than half the price of this one. But that's not the point. The point is...CHEESUS!I bought this as a novelty gift for my nephew. As it turns out, though, he and his family love it and use it. The conversation went rapidly from "Ha ha. Look, it's Grilled Cheesus!" to "Let's make grilled cheese.", "Let's try deli-sliced turkey and Swiss.", "Wow. Nutella is great!", "Hey, I can use canned pie filling and make apple pies!" And that is the point. A novelty that gets used once and put away forever is just a novelty. When it gets used again and again, it becomes an indispensable appliance.If this had been $15 cheaper, it would have received five stars.Broken out of the box. Only the top plate gets hot. Bottom one does not heat up.
