I love that I can slice the garlic when I want a little more garlic presence. It comes with a great plastic cleaning tool that is a little hard to get off the unit to use, but when you get it off, it works perfectly.Like the double use in one tool.This is the best garlic press ever and trust me when I say we have purchased a few in our time!! We have tried everything from Walmart to Williams and Sonoma and nothing comes close to this. I use a bristled kitchen brush to clean before putting it thru the dishwasher. It’s an extra step but easy peasy! Our last one lasted 5+ years and was well loved as we use this gadget almost every night. You will love it too!!I have one thats exactly the same , have had it for 10 years. The option of having crushed garlic of sliced garlic pieces , saves time with preparation of meals and its easy . Easy to clean. And very durable . I have a second house so i bought 2 more. ?It can pinch your fingers though so be careful.I use this device daily and this is a replacement for one I had for about 10 yrs.It slices and mints the garlic quickly and effortlessly, unless you freeze your Garlic and use the device while the garlic is still frozen like I do. Then you will need a replacement in a few years.Clean-up is not the best but keeping an old toothbrush near the sink helps.I have not had any tarnishing, has not bent, blades are still sharp 6 months later.I have used this make/model for over 10 years before it finally broke at the hinges.But I blame me, not the device.As mentioned above I freeze my garlic and I don’t always take the time to thaw it out well.So that leads me to apply much more force and pressure than recommended.I had used and tried various devices such as this after I broke my last one and they have all fallen apart within weeks or you had to swap out the ‘blades’ for the slicing and pressing/mincing.Too many parts to get lost and bent upThis is the best Garlic Press ever...Amco Garlic Press and Slicer, Cast Zinc! I've had many over the years, and most of them were a pain to clean. This one, has a dohickey to clean it it out through the back, so I love it even more...no more garlic residue ever! Also, this one not only has the minced side, but it has a slicer as well, which I love too. I use lots of garlic every day and sometimes I need the slices for my sauteeing vegetables or sticking in side a roast. And what's a salad without minded garlic and we have salad practically every night. So now that I found somethng I really like, watch them discontinue it on me as I like it so much and will buy one for each bridal shower I go to. I was smart and bought two of them when I found this one, cause I don't ever want to be without it. It's made pretty well, but my hands have trouble holding things, so for me, it was better safe than sorry. Hope ya'll like it as much as I do.This garlic press far surpassed any that I’ve had in the past. It minced snd sliced to perfection ! I am going to order another as part of a gift ! I highly recommend it !The double action nature seems like a good thing untill you have to use it.Specifically the swinging double action "hammer" seems to always swing int the wrong position,One good thing is that it's built like a tank.Good product.This Garlic Press and Slicer works very well. However, it is a little more light weight than I had expected. Still it does slice and press garlic very well.Es un producto muy bueno para un restaurante, sin embargo en uso domestico, considero es no muy practico, ya que el tiempo de limpieza es similar al de rebanar un ajo... sin embargo considero es un buen producto...Me ha servido bastante, realmente práctico. No he notado algún problema en sus materiales y ya tengo varios meses con él. Lo recomiendo.Muy buen producto me gusta como tritura
