Being a college student with classes over the summer and working pretty much full time in addition to being a very active member in my church, I don't really know very much down time to sit and relax. I always feel that I need to be doing something, but in the process I lost time for me. So, this being said, with Karen's latest book "Learning" I now have been working on planning my days much more efficiently and making sure that I have even a small bit of time to myself...which was most recently my Latte Time while I read "Learning".In one word...WOW!This book takes you on a thrill of so many different emotions, experiences and will (for those of you who have read Karen's books,) allow you to catch up with Ashley and Landon from the Baxter Family Series! It amazes me how this woman manages to write such a story! God has truly gifted her in such a way that her characters just come to life and the stories will touch your heart. Not only that but you will be so uplifted by even the spiritual-side of the book. God is clearly seen through every bit of it showing that His hand really does work in our lives and that He does have plans for us. Another lesson I saw in "Learning" is the blessings of obedience.Bailey is starting to live out her dream and finds that her way of getting there isn't always what she imagined it would be.Brandon Paul is sweet as can be (but I still don't think he should end up with Bailey...we'll have to wait and see what happens there.)Cody is learning so much and is coaching the Lyle football team! I think he needs to learn that His past doesn't disqualify him for having the best in the future.Cheyenne is a wonderful girl and very likable character. I'm interested to see what more of a part she will play in the end.Ashley and Landon have some trials as of yet. "Leaving" keeps you on the edge of your seat with their part in the series, "Learning" will begin to put you to rest with their story but will keep you with questions as well! There are so many lessons that "Learning" can even teach you as you read! The Queen has done it again! I cannot wait for "Longing" to come out. These books can be so deep and have so much written even between the lines. You know you're reading something good when you find yourself praying for the characters while you're reading...Yes I admit it! I was praying for them all! Read "Learning" and you will see why. Everything comes to life in it and you'll find yourself feeling like part of the family.Time for another Latte! :)Blessings!
