Cat's Claw Large Print Mystery Book by Thorndike Press - Cozy Mystery Novel for Relaxing Evenings & Book Club Discussions

I'm always waiting for the next book in this series, as soon as I've finished the previous one. "Cat's Claw" doesn't disappoint. It's a bit of a departure from Albert's usual style, in that the story is told from two points of view rather than just from China Bayles', a technique the author also employed successfully in "Nightshade." This time, we follow the unfolding plot through Police Chief Sheila Dawson's perspective as well as China's. That gives us the opportunity not only to get to know Sheila better, but also to see how she and China collaborate to assemble the clues they've uncovered and solve the crime. While the mystery is intriguing as always, for me the fully-realized characters and the greater community of Pecan Springs and its people are the most delightful part of reading the book... like coming home again to a beloved place you've been missing for too long.
