Nails - Abandon All Life (2013) | Heavy Metal Vinyl Record | Perfect for Mosh Pits & Headbanging Sessions

I know I know dumb title for my review. But so true at the same time. I bought this album because I have Pig Destroyer's Book Burner. Not because the albums are similar, but Book Burner got me in to grind. You could almost categorize this band as Power violence. And I would have almost expected it to be released by Relapse or Earache. The two longest tracks on this 17 minute assault are also my favorites. Wide Open Wound actually has some awesome catchy riffs and it clocks in at almost 4 minutes. That almost seems like a marathon for these guys until you get to Suud Ciuique (sp?). Five whole minutes and possibly the song of the year in Death/Grind. Kurt Ballou again has his magic touch in this masterpiece and this album kills it. Nails have just entered my top 5 favorite bands ever and I have been listening to death and the like for over 25 years. Abandon All Life is 17:12 of how it should be done
