I wanted to write a review of this polish since I rely heavily on reviews before purchasing polishes in order to determine what "color" they really are to the user. This is a very nice deep color. Since applying, I have been constantly looking at my nails to decide on how best to describe this color, and I think the best way is: Chocolate Cherry. It is a medium to dark brown, but with a hint of reddish purple. I like the color a lot, as I am not into too "trendy" colors, and this is not too dark to appear vampy, but still is fashionable. I would think that this color on top of a red or purple would lighten it up more if you find it too dark.
