The stories in this book are so beautiful and teach values in such a moving way. It is extremely hard to capture the interest of my 4th grade special education students. These stories captivated them 50% or more of the time. That is an excellent track record. Susan has lived in South Africa, East Africa, and Australia and she weaves different traditions to create stories which help children accept other children with difficulties, turn around difficult behaviors, and rise to the challenge of difficult situations.
