Easy to load, easy to clean and well built. My neighbor liked it so much she just ordered one.My first time using a cookie press and once I was able to work through the instructions and made a few errors, I like this product. It’s not too big or too hard to force the dough through the chamber even with my weak hands. It’s easy to clean after use and I love the convenience of not having to hand mold each cookie. A good purchase! While I really wanted this item to work well, I found that when I'm using it for filling deviled eggs, or frosting the plunger isnt tight enough on the tube inside therefore it doesn't push all the filling towards the end and it "backs up" behind it. I haven't used it for making cookies yet but I imagine it'll be the same way. Perhaps a rubber ring around the plunger would work well to scrape against the side of the tube. Also, they'd be better off with a cardboard or a hard plastic insert for the storage box to keep all the disc's and tips in place. The flimsy plastic that is in the storage box now is worthless.. Otherwise, it is a very nice set with all the pieces it comes with.I'm really happy I purchased this spritz cookie gun. Though I think it wasn't brand new because the outer package was opened. I marked it down a star because of this.I used the first recipe in the booklet for vanilla cardamom cookies. I slightly changed up the recipe, taking out the cardamom and substituting some vanilla with almond extract. This gives that flavor for the Danish butter cookies. The recipe was great, the flavor and texture worked out good.Using the gun was great too, so far I have tried half of the disks. I was not happy with the butterfly disk. It did not come out right and was pretty disappointing. The flowers and wreaths worked out great. The quality of the gun and disks are fairly similar to the Wilton spritz gun, except the disks for the Kuhn Rikon is made of metal instead of plastic.I found that when making the cookies and pressing them on to the sheet the dough shouldn't be cold. The tray for the cookies should obviously be ungreased, so be careful using new sheet trays. I used foil, but even that isn't the best method for spritz cookies. Make sure the dough is slightly sticky, but not gooey.Spritz cookies used to be aggravating to make, but this gun and a good recipe makes it easier. This is SO much easier than using a bag and hand squeezing. I mainly use it for cheese straws. The tube doesn’t hold a great deal but enough to fill a cookie sheet. For my recipe I reload several times. Glad I got itI bought this press a few years ago and have used it several times. I just got it out for this year's batch of Christmas cookies, and was reminded again of how well this works compared to others I have used. I have owned 4 other presses, one electric and three manual, plus I remember fighting with my mother's manual press many years ago. This one makes perfect cookies! One squeeze of the handle dispenses the correct amount of dough for the cookie. It is easy to fill, easy to change cookie molds, and easy to clean. I would definitely buy this for a gift.Exactamente lo que estaba buscando y al mejor precio.I'm on the fence with this. The dough continued to stick to the press and didn't wanna come out very easily. I will have to play with it some more. The cookies though turned out fabulous. I also made icing. I used a very good sugar cookie recipe. A copy-cat recipe of Cheryl's Cookies. Tastes just like them without the steep price. Mmmmm ???As far as shipping, the packer needed to wrap the case with bubble wrap. There was none. The case could've come cracked. Luckily it didn't.Great selection of shapes, great construction, great recipes and a fabulous storage case. Warning, the case is big, but I love it.After a couple of months and a maximum of 5 uses, the tube cracked making the whole unit useless until I wrapped it with electrical tape. I have contacted Kuhn rikon to see what they will do about this warranty issue. Item was not for me, no complaintsI had never used a cookie press before, so I was looking for something of adequate quality at a reasonable price. After using this press once, I was glad it was fairly sturdy and easy to use. I recommend it.Works really well, and good price! Makes baking cookies easier and more fun! I even used it to pipe meat filling when making mini spring rolls!
