The drill press stand was received well packaged along with a very brief instruction sheet for assembly. It did not take long to assemble the drill press stand however affixing the clamp to the drill press base required some additional work. The delivered hardware for affixing the clamp to the drill press base consisted of (2) 5/16"x1-1/2"bolts, (2) 5/16" hex nuts and (2) 5/16" ID x 5/8"OD round flat washers however the flat washers did not fit within the allocated channels on the underside of the drill press base. To tighten the clamp to the base required access to both the top of the bolt on the topside of the base and also the underside of the base to hold the nut while tightening since there was no lock washer. This was extremely inconvenient. The solution to the problem was to grind off ~1/16" on opposing sides of the round washer then use a cyanoacrylate glue (Crazy Glue) to attach the washer to the nut. A weld would have been better. The washer-nut combination now acts as a application specific lock washer-nut combination and to affix and tighten the clamp to the drill press base requires access to only the top of the bolt on the topside of the base. Once installed, the clamp could be easily repositioned for drilling.Since the instruction sheet was mostly pictorial that did not include showing a lubricant, a drop of oil on all joints and slides made drilling a little easier. And as a final comment, the plastic Allen wrench holder on the side of the drill mount was inadequate and the Allen wrench would consistently fall off. For the price of this drill press stand and for someone who is very restricted on work space area, I am very satisfied.
