good first time purchase. easy to use. convenient. can also be used with loose tea.Making coffee!!!Don't spend too much money for french coffee press. Buy this and you won't be disappointedThis is you typical French press. It works to make to cups of coffee at 8 ounces portions. The only thing I disliked is that for shipping it didn't even come in a box with bubble wrap or any packing materials. My address was slapped on the box and it came to my house that way. Luckily it didn't break in transit. That's why you are a star less then you should be.I bought it for camping so the mini size is great, but I was surprised when it arrived. This will only make one small cup of coffee. I poured two measuring cup sized “cups” into it and it overflowed, and I did not even have coffee grounds in it. It would be great for loose tea as well. I’ll keep it as I’m only making coffee for one, but it would not be very convenient if you needed two or more cups.I use this at my desk in the office. It’s a great little press but the pour spout is a bit small. I have to be very careful when pouring the brewed coffee into my mug.Very fragile, and feels cheap. The glass is so thin that it barely holds the heat of my coffee for more than 3 or 4 minutes. The plunger components feel just as cheap and flimsy. This is like one of those free giveaway products you would get if you signed up for a service. I would not recommend this one.We use this pretty much every day to make Teecino. However, I do not like that water seems to get trapped between the layers of glass. I wish there was a way to release it as I don't want it to get moldy. Other than that issue, we've enjoyed using it these last few months.Been after a French Press for quite some time but was put off by the idea of waiting for my coffee to brew and the cleaning up afterwards. This was pure ignorance on my part!Firstly, having drank instant coffee all my life I was unsure if I'd even like Ground coffee thinking it would be dark and bitter and having to put lots of sugar in it to make it drinkable. Boy was I wrong!I started off with a bag of Spanish coffee called Tirma from here on Amazon to test the water so to speak before going after the big boys from South America.Boil your kettle and put a little in the French Press. Put the lid on and give it about a minute to heat the glass.Empty the water out and put in two 7gram level scoops for one mug( it comes with a scoop) of coffee. Half fill with just off the boil water, put the lid on( plunger up) and wait 4 minutes.Obviously double the measures if brewing for two people or you want two mugs to keep you awake!Slowly Press the plunger down to filter and catch the coffee dregs, pour and enjoy!Try it first, add sugar or milk if you want. No rules.I run the Press under the tap to clean. It's simple. It's a little ritual i enjoy every day now. Bye bye Instant!Solid build, decent brew, cleaning is OK but the filter can be a difficult. Makes a good coffee but only one or 2 regular sized mugs.Works well and is a lovely cafetiere however it isn't big enough for 4 mugs as it says. I can only get 2 decent mugs or 3 if I half fill.Nice design. Seems well made. Perfect size for 2 good size mugs of coffee.PLEASE CAN I BE SENT A HANDLE TO HELP WITH THE USE! The handle is really sharpe.Lovely cafeteria, but really need some sort of rubber handle or something to add on. Could toh please assist...thanks
