This was purchased mainly to help make use of the fruit off of a concord grape vine. Never having used a press for this, some study of their demonstrations was a bit confusing, but did help. Loading grapes into the one supplied filter bag and giving them a good pressing resulted in some really outstanding grape juice, with no bits of seeds and other debris that came out of a macerating centrifuge type juicer. One filter bag was included. It would help to mount it on a hinged base secured to a table, as it needs to be tipped toward the outlet spout to empty the accumulated juice. We made about 1 gallon of Apple Cider today from our own apples. We followed a normal receipt and used the press to press cooked apples to extract more cider. We were very surprised and pleased with how well it worked. I would have given this 5-starts but I am unsure of the base and why they want you to attach it to a more permanent location. I will say if we hadn't cooked the apples ahead of time I am not too sure what would have happened when using the press. . We did end up with some wonderful apple sauce too. Next year we will use this with our own peaches as well.Fabulous! Efficient, effortless easy to clean and use. I don’t write reviews but this product deserves one. I bought this to assist in our almond milk making process. My hands were hurting ( getting older) from trying to squeeze the nutmilk bag full of pulp, dry. I was hoping this would do the trick. It did!!! I use my Vitamix to make the nut milk slurry. Poured that into a nut milk bag, twisted the top of the bag shut tight and then into this press.I set it up so the bowl to catch the milk was in the sink and the press was on the counter. It worked out so well. I could crank the press with one finger till the very end and then with two hands finish. Do it patiently - the process goes pretty quickly. The nut pulp was almost bone dry. It will make excellent granola. I got more milk in less time and the clean up was easy. I’m so pleased with this purchase. I make almond milk every three days. I bought the medium size. It holds the nylon nutmilk bag perfectly. I make about 3/4’s of a gallon using 2 cups of Almonds soaked 2 days (sprouted) , 7 pitted dates and a pinch of salt to 3/4’s of a gallon of cold water. I only put enough water in the vita mix to make the slurry and then as the nutmilk bag drains I pour the rest of The water into the bag and press. Be sure to twist the top of the bag closed before pressing. This press has saved my hands and time. I’m sure I’ll use it for many other things.Happy I splurged for this.Bought this for pressing some oils for salves. Used it once, it was OK. It moves a bit when really getting to the "pressing" when just one person is using. Got my batch done, and somehow I have lost the connecting nut for the press plate to attach to the spindle (yes, I even searched the trash, just in case). Can't get EJWOX to reply to emails and "not available" on the phone. They claim to have a replacement parts list online, but whether they are lying or it's so well hidden on their site that no one but them can find it. My return window has closed and now I have a useless huge paper weight.Update to this: EJWOX sent out the wrong replacement part because their parts guide is so hard to distinguish each piece AND they updated their press design, but kept the same product ID number. After receiving the incorrect replacement parts and contacting contacting again, with clear pictures of what they sent with my press pieces to show how they can't be the correct parts, they have not replied back or sent the replacement part necessary NOR DO THEY HAVE THEM FOR SALE.Worked great until one of the crown nuts back threaded off and fell off changed the all thread and nuts and no problem sinceThe overall quality is good, and it works well. The plate that comes in contact with the food material is thin though, and will cup over time.Biggest issue is that the product is shipped with polystyrene packing material. There's just not reason at all for this. We consumers have the power to remove this type of harmful packing material by taking off stars every time we see it.I used this to make blackberry syrup and blackberry jelly, after making black currant syrup earlier in the season and having a definite need for a fruit press. I have a lot of black currant bushes and look forward to having a lot of jellies, juices and syrups next season! One comment. When the top bar would be a little higher, it would be a easier to place the food inside. It’s not that complicated, but it’s a little bit difficult since the press plate is blocking the pot opening, The part could not be removed bcz the juice is coming…But the product is amazingFirst off, it's a nice size for what I'm doing. I bashed the apples first, just to look at the press you will see that it won't.not a problem. I crushed blue and mulberriers without any issues. I wasn't sure of the construction strength when I was juicing the apples. Not sure how much pressure the press would take. I would recommendI have yet to use it. However right from the box one of the metal support sheathing for the bolts was slightly bent the metal base one one side was crushed in and will need to bang it back in shape with a wood block and hammer. What i do not understand is why they provide screw holes for adding rubber footing but they are not supplied to keep the press from slipping at a cheap price of around $6.00 bucks it would add a cheap cost to provide a better quality product. Curious now how it will actually press.Lots of fun to press out the juice of whatever tickles your fancy. Works wonderfully, easy to clean. Kids like to ask what it is.Might be good for cheese making or perhaps pressing grapes but definitely not for pressing apples...Tres bonne presse pour le fromage, pour les fruits il faudra trouver le moyen de la fixer solidement pour pouvoir tourner la manivelle avec force.
