I am a slow hot-drink drinker so this is a lifesaver in or out of the home. It easily keeps beverages warm for *at least* 2 hours, for sure. One time I found it still pretty warm at 3 hours. I don't keep a timer on it, it's just my best estimate without exaggerating. I love it's sleek look, it's texture (not super smooth steel, but there is a texture to it so that it doesn't slip from your hands)., it's color ... everything. Fits in the side pockets of my tote bag and my everyday backpack. One of their other products had complaints about their plastic lid / top odor, but I'm glad that this one had none at all. I handwash my cup and lid to prolong the life, so I'm not too sure how this holds up with various cycles in the dishwasher. The lid has a little rubber/silicone gasket to keep it closed since its a non-screw top ... which is nice because it just goes on and stays on. I mean, I don't run marathons with it or anything, but it stays on still. The mouthpiece in the lid has no close option, so if you are afraid of splatter, reconsider. A car ride with a full or 3/4 full tumbler will probably splash a bit outside, so be prepared. But overall, I am *very* happy with this tumbler. And I get compliments on it.
