I'm surprised at the negative reviews. I've now used this two times with beautiful results. Looks just like the salon! I'm so happy I purchased! I only polish my toes, and it has lasted a full month without a single chip both times! Incredible! I think it would easily last longer, but at that point they need to be trimmed! The kit is a great way to start because it has everything you need (except clippers), including easy to follow instructions. Just follow them, take your time, and apply thin coats. You can apply thicker coats of the polish and it will cure ok, but it will pool around the cuticle. It's very "liquidy" compared to regular polish. 3 super thin coats does great. Also, until you cure it with the light, gel polish can just be wiped off if you don't like how you applied it. As for time, it does take a little longer to apply than doing standard polish because there are extra steps and other layers to apply, but the dry time is super quick and no worries of ruining it once it's cured. The kit does come with small bottles of product, but you hardly use any for each application. Some reviewers suggested buying products individually would be more cost-effective, but I'm glad I didn't. This is a great started kit, and there's a lot of value in one stop shopping. The light is small, but I can get all five toes in. I just move slow and don't use toe separators. One thing to note is the color. I also did not receive the color that was listed, which I expected based on other reviews, but for me that was good. The listing showed a pale pink, but I received a hot/sparkly pink, which is a much better tone for me. I would consider the color a mystery, and be prepared to buy a different one if you don't like what you get. I purchased with that in mind and still would have thought it was worth it even if I hadn't like the color that came with it.
