Terrible design even if the one Amazon sent hadn't had some plastic snapped off the filter. The lack of holes in the bottom of the infuser mean it doesn't work properly. The whole diffuser and lid part is held in place by two small tabs, one of which was already broken. Even without the broken tab, it feels really loose and unstable. Lid has to be held in place when pouring and a real risk of scalding if/when the whole lot falls out whilst using it. Two stars simply because the tea did taste better in a glass teapot, but the design is awful.I was pleased with this teapot - I love Assam tea to the point that I import it from India!It was pure indulgence which got me to buy this specifically for Assam teapot. Definitely worth it!This pot (and the plastic infuser) work well. I like the look, although it feels a bit flimsy. Inside a good tea cosy the tea stays hot and delicious. The only problem seems to be I NOW have a tea cosy that doesn't inadvertently depress the plunger!This was bought as a Christmas present for a relative and it was extremely well received by not just the recipient, but the whole family! The glass body of the teapot is extremely stylish and it is really light, which is good especially when the tea pot is filled to the brim with water! Only one slight problem: the lid is firstly slightly loose and you must position it correctly so that you don't need to worry about the lid coming off when pouring. Also, the plasticky feel of the lid doesn't seem to quite fit with the rest of the glass product - however, on the whole, I'd wholly recommend it!Bodum Assam Tea Press with Glass Handle and Coloured Plastic Lid, 0.5 L (17 oz) - BlackPerfect for replacing a broken glass tea pot, and using my existing filter.Sometimes l enjoy loose tea rather than teabags and with this teapot l can without tea floating around in my cup, because of the coffepot type plunger which pushes the leaves down and holds them down. Thumbs up to that and to the elegance of a lovely glass teapot.
