I bought this surplice style alb for my husband. He hates the double layer fabric and snug neck line of traditional albs. While polyester isn't very breathable, he really likes the loose neck line and the little bit of extra airflow from a vestment worn without a cincture. (don't bother with an amice. It never looks right and just makes you warmer).
